Hmm I don't know about you, but I definitely wouldn't pass this test. What is it about gossip that makes it so difficult to stop? I have been working hard at this, but I have a feeling this will be a life-long struggle for me. I have noticed that I need to be careful around certain friends and family members, because I tend to be pulled into their gossiping. I wonder if, like adultery, gossip is just as bad thought as it is said.....
This is such a difficult area for me as well! Even when I find myself among other Christian women there seems to be such a difficult temptation to gossip about others - I even was in a bible study once where we were discussing it and one woman mentioned that it was so difficult for her to stop because she had found herself bonding with other women over gossip and a common like/dislike over another individual. Having some strong accountability partners has really helped me, but I still have such a long way to go - I know what you mean about having to be extra carful around certain individuals though!
