2nd-hand bathroom

My bathroom right now is very simple and not too offensive to my husband's masculinity. Our shower curtain has green, turquoise, and brown dots on a white background, and the rest of the bathroom decor reflects that motif. Our new apartment will have two full bathrooms and my husband said something wonderful last week: "How about you make the master bathroom your bathroom and I'll use the other one?"

HALLELUJAH!

So off to the thrift store I went, where I looked for some decor for my new bathroom. The only shower curtain they had there was a pretty, simple lace curtain with a paisley pattern. It was very pretty, especially when I imagined it hung up with a colored shower liner. I bought it for just $2.50. Normally I would be sensitive to my husband and not make such a girlie purchase for our home, but this gets to be my bathroom! I didn't realize how excited I was to have a room all my own until I saw that shower curtain.

So after visiting another thrift store, here is what I have so far for my new bathroom:
Apparently my theme is roses, but I think I am going more for the Victorian look. The rose prints are perfect for the walls, and I just LOVE the mini lamp, which is only about 4 inches tall. The little cup was something I passed 3 times in the store before I picked it up. It is so delicate looking and you can't tell from the picture, but it stands on 3 little porcelain legs. I imagine the lamp and the cup sitting on a little silver tray in the corner of the counter, maybe with some rose petals....

I'm still brainstorming, but I am so excited for my girlie, 2nd-hand bathroom!

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
