In my mind's eye this is our future nursery. If God blesses us with children, this is where they will go. Part of me doesn't want to furnish it in the meantime because I know what will go in here.... hopefully.
As for now, I have no idea what to do with this room. It already serves as storage for out-of-date technology (see my old CD player on the shelf?). The closet is full of our board games. There is my keyboard off to the left. That pile in the middle is stuff that needs to go to Goodwill. Off to the right is a pile of boxes filled with books. It has turned into the "I have nowhere else to put this" room.
But in my mind's eye, I see light yellow walls, fluttery cream-colored curtains at the windows. I can already envision where the crib should go, and the rocker.....
But for now it is simply the reject room.
I guess the first thing I thought was..."adopt some children"....LOL. At least that is what I'm always thinking when room comes available in our place LOL. Our daughter is getting married in August and her room is already spoken for...our next adoption.

If your willing to spend a little money, you could make it into something awesome. I've been planning make turning one of our rooms into a home movie theater. It's small, but has no windows so it's perfect when the lights are off. Of course if your room has windows, you could just add light-blocking curtains. You could mount a small shelf on one wall and place a projector on it that's hooked up to a computer or DVD player to play movies. Then you could add some seating and have yourself a nice home theater. Projectors are pretty expensive, but I found a few on Amazon.com for around 100 bucks. However, if you don't want to invest too much in a room where you might be changing into a nursery soon, you could always create the space as a yoga or meditation room, exercise room, game or arcade room, project room (if you're into arts, crafts, sewing scrap booking, etc.), library with nice comfy chairs or bean bags, or just a relaxation room where you can snuggle up with some hot tea and a nice book.
