Do-it-yourself Jewelry Rack

I absolutely love earrings. It is a rare day when you see me leaving the house without them. I think they just do a lot to make you look put together and feminine. I also love bracelets and necklaces, but they aren't as essential to me as the earrings are.

Unfortunately, my earring collection is a little out of order. This is my jewelry box:
I always have earrings all over the top of my dresser, with one earring in one drawer and the other one across the room. This jewelry box was a hand-me-down from my mom, but I've realized it is not very practical for my earring collection. I just have too many to keep it all organized and untangled in this box.

So I began looking online for options to purchase and found these 2 great options:
Cute and an easy organization solutions. But each of these cost between $20-$30 online. As I am only allowed $50 per month for non-essentials, I couldn't see myself spending that much money on this.

So Saturday I made a project out of making my own similar rack. The one I made isn't perfect but it does exactly what I wanted it to do. All it took was a frame (from a painting I bought at the thrift store for $3.99), some window screening (I bought some, but it would be even cheaper if you have an old window screen lying around), some staples, and some screw-in hooks.

And there you have it. I have been able to hang up all my earrings which have hooks on then (the ones with posts will remain in the old jewelry box) and some of my necklaces and bracelets. It was so easy to make and I spent less than $10 on all of the supplies.

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
