Praise for my Husband this Sunday

One thing that really bothers me is then women bash their husbands, and then expect me to do the same.  I am going to take this opportunity to praise my husband to you all a bit instead. Feel free to praise yours back to me!

My husband is incredibly hard working, and Christmas time tends to be his busiest at work. This can be difficult for me because I want to spend time with family, but we cannot travel much to visit them because my husband is working a lot.

I try to keep my attitude positive, but my husband still knows this can be tough for me. So last Friday he surprised me by saying he was going to get the registration done for our new car. I wondered why it was taking him 3 hours to get this done, but then he came home and had not just the new registration in his hand, but my viola in his other hand.

I haven't been able to play it for a while now because it needed some repairs done, but we didn't have the extra money for it. I've been wanting to join our community orchestra for some time now, but it was not possible with my instrument out of commission.

My husband surprised me by taking it to the shop and getting it fixed for me. I had no idea he was going to do something so wonderful for me. It was such a nice "just because" gift from him, and something which will keep me from throwing a pity party for myself this holiday season.

  1. That was so sweet of your husband. I agree that wives should brag and not talk negatively about their husbands. I am so proud of my husband. He is a hard worker, great father, and wonderful son to his parents. I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  2. That is so sweet of your husband!!! I really dislike seeing wives talk badly about their husbands, so I agree with you.

True story-I play viola! I haven't in years (when I went away to school my Mom got rid of mine inexplicably) but it is so rare to meet anyone who even knows what the instrument it! Yours looks beautiful.

No pity parties allowed-we all have so much to be thankful for this year. I'm praying for you and your husband (I haven't commented in awhile, but I've read all your posts).

    Happy Thanksgiving in two days!!!

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
