Turn-Around Thursday

I always feel like by the time Thursday has come around, so many things have happened throughout the week that sometimes I am a little overwhelmed and losing focus. I make a sincere effort to keep my attitude positive and upbeat, because while we cannot control many of the things that happen to us, we can control our attitudes.

So here are my attitude turn-arounds this week:

1) We are officially moving again because my landlords decided to raise our rent A LOT.
Turn around: God has provided yet again and we immediately found a better situation. Our new apartment will be very spacious and an even better deal than where we currently live. So while I'm packing (I don't want to!) I'm going to be focusing on the great memories to be formed in our new apartment.

2) I started physical therapy yesterday for my back (As result from the spinal issues I had during the holiday season last year) and my back is not happy about it
Turn-around: After doctor after doctor hasn't been able to figure out what is wrong with me, this amazing physical therapist, who specializes in spinal injuries, has given me hope that we can fix what is wrong. YAY!

3) My favorite perfume ran out... and it's been discontinued.
Turn-around: I'm sorry, I just can't turn this one around. I am still in mourning

4) My sink still stinks and despite everything I've tried, the stink keeps coming back within a day of getting rid of it. (I think I had to turn this one around in my LAST turn-around Thursday post as well)
Turn-around: I am certainly helping the economy with the amount of baking soda, vinegar, and lemons I buy and then pour down my sink in order get a few hours of stink-less bliss. Lemon farmers must love me!

Do you have any turn-arounds to share? Feel free to post them in a comment below

  1. I like reading your Turn Around Thursdays! This morning I was grousing about how slowly people were driving on my way to work and I just had to laugh at myself as I realized... I have a car. I can afford putting gas into it. I don't have to walk to work. I'm ALWAYS complaining about "First World Problems"! I really want to kick that habit.

As to your favorite perfume being discontinued - I feel you! My favorite perfume is Lucky brand's "Lucky You" and they suddenly stopped selling it in department stores. I was bummed till I randomly discovered it at Wal-Mart, of all places. Much less expensive than it used to be at Macy's or Foley's, too.

  2. I love reading your Turn Around Thursdays. I keep trying to teach my two kids to have a good attitude. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Ha!

  3. Hopefully your new place doesn't have smelly sink problems! What is your favorite perfume? Maybe a shop somewhere still has it on the shelf!

    1. I am hoping to be rid of the smelly sink problem as well! We've already notices the plumbing in our current place is not the greatest.
Unfortunately, my favorite perfume is Avon's Spotlight, so it is not carried in stores

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
