Baby Update: 13 Weeks

I hope you all had amazing Thanksgivings! I got to spend lots of time with family over the last week and a half, and of course I ate wayyy too much.

I am a few days late for this week, but from here on out I am going to try to do weekly or bi-weekly pregnancy updates. And although I don't really have a belly, I figured I'd share a photo anyway.

How far along? 13 weeks 3 days
Baby Size: A Peach
Total weight gain: 2 pounds.... but that might be Thanksgiving
Maternity clothes? Some of my normal bottoms are feeling a little snug. No maternity clothes yet, just lots of elastic-waistbands
Stretch Marks? Not yet. I am wearing lots of creams and oils, but I know these suckers are pretty inevitable
Sleep: This has changed recently, and I can now sleep longer than 2 hour stretches between bathroom breaks. YAY!
Best moment this week: Getting our first gift for baby from a family friend. It really made it feel real
Have you told family and friends? Yes! We made it public last week for Thanksgiving
Miss Anything? Last week it was feta cheese, this week it is salami
Movement: Nothing yet... but soon hopefully!
Food cravings: This has been changing a lot. Lately I've been into cinnamon raisin toast
Anything making you queasy or sick: I think I may finally have gotten over the nausea part of pregnancy! Now I only feel sick when my sinuses are acting up
Have you started to show? Not really. I swear there is something there.... and then my husband assures me I look quite normal. I'm thinking this will change in the next few weeks though.
Gender Prediction: We will find out when the baby comes. I think it's a boy, my husband thinks it's a girl
Symptoms: Heartburn is no fun
Mood: Excited and anxious to get things moving. I've decided to wait until after Christmas to start working on baby stuff, but I want to start NOW!
Looking forward to: Actually looking pregnant :)

  1. Enjoy the pregnancy the very best you can. I was nauseous and vomiting all 9 months with my second child and had heartburn the whole time too. But I would do it all over again to feel his little body move inside me just one more time!

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
