Baby Update: 34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks
Baby Size:Varies at this point, but somewhere around 5 pounds
  Total weight gain: 27 pounds
Maternity clothes? Pretty much exclusively. Now that the weather has warmed up I have been able to bring skirts back into my wardrobe a bit.
Stretch Marks? Not yet
Sleep: 3rd trimester insomnia has hit me hard! I am lucky to get a few hours of sleep per night
Best moment this week: The midwife confirmed that the baby turned and is now head down YAY!
Miss Anything? Wearing more than the same 5 shirts over and over, and being able to be more active
Movement: Baby squirms around a lot, but no more somersaults. He/she likes to slide his/her foot along my right rib, back and forth. Feet in the ribs means head-down, though, so I'm happy!
I have really slowed down, with lots of aches and pains making any kind of activity difficult. I still try to go for short walks though.
Food cravings: Any kind of fruit that is juicy and lemonade.
Gender Prediction: We will find out when baby arrives! Make sure you vote in the green box on the right side of this blog.
Symptoms: Lots of aches and pains, and swelling if I do too much.
Labor Signs: I didn't realize I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions until my midwife pointed them out last week (I had one while she was examining me...apparently). I thought there was more to them!
Mood: Happy and excited. I am totally bonded with this little one already, and I love it. I'm anxious to meet him/her!
Looking forward to: Finishing our nursery. We have everything in place now except for the bedding, which should be coming next week. Then I get to show the final result to you guys. I'm also looking forward to my last day of work this coming Friday

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
