Baby Update: 36 weeks... One month countdown!

How far along? 36 weeks
Baby Size:Varies at this point, but around 6 pounds and 19 inches long
  Total weight gain: 29 pounds
Maternity clothes? Pretty much exclusively. I actually bought the shirt in this photo months ago to work as a big sleeping shirt. No way then did I think I would ever fit into an XL (!!!) maternity shirt. But it fits great and I've been wearing it during the day lately.
Stretch Marks? Not yet but now would be about the time
Sleep: Sometimes I sleep like a baby and sometimes I'm up most of the night. Luckily I can nap when I need to
Best moment this week: Having my last day at work and receiving a beautiful sendoff from my coworkers, complete with cake and gifts
Miss Anything? Working out
Movement: Baby is staying in the same head-down position, but squirms around a lot. I have slowed down big time and my swollen feet are thanking me!
Food cravings: Mostly fruit
Gender Prediction: We will find out when baby arrives! Make sure you vote in the green box on the right side of this blog. I am predicting a boy
Symptoms: Swollen feet, achy back and lower belly, and insomnia
Labor Signs: Nothing that I can tell, but my midwifes don't do the weekly "checking" that most women get from doctors at this point, so I have no idea if I am dilated or anything. Probably better not to get my hopes up :)
Mood: SO happy to be a homemaker now!
Looking forward to: Receiving our baby bedding in the next few days, after which I can finally show you all our nursery! Also looking forward to our midwife home visit next week, when we will walk through and prepare for the birth.
ALSO looking forward to meeting baby. Our due date is June 8th, but we plan to allow baby to arrive whenever he/she thinks it's time :)

  2. You look amazing, not long to go now! I'm only 22 weeks pregnant with our second child and feel like my bump is as big as yours :)

    1. I think being 5'10" has its advantages, as I have a very long torso. I imagine I'll carry much larger with subsequent children :) Congrats on your pregnancy!

  3. You look great! Hope you feel as good as possible in the following weeks, too. Btw, I'm craving fruit, as well - I can eat three or four apples a day, in addition to two or three other pieces of other fruit. Insane :)
