Baby Update: 38 Weeks

How far along? 38 weeks
Baby Size:Varies at this point, but around 7 pounds and 20 inches long
  Total weight gain: 31 pounds
Maternity clothes? Pretty much exclusively. I'm really excited to get back to having more clothing options though.
Stretch Marks? Surprisingly none yet
Sleep: Baby is using my bladder as a pillow, so I'm up a lot at night. Luckily I have the freedom to nap and sleep in if I need to
Best moment this week: Getting all the home birth supplies together and having our home visit from the midwives. We're all ready for baby to arrive!
Miss Anything? Working out! and just feeling normal
Movement: Baby is staying in the same head-down position, but squirms around a lot. I try to go for a walk every day but everything is just a whole lot harder these days.
Food cravings: Mostly fruit. And I want sweets but am trying to avoid them.
Gender Prediction: We will find out when baby arrives! Make sure you vote in the green box on the right side of this blog.
Symptoms: Lots of aches and pains in my pelvis. Swelling
Labor Signs: Nothing that I can tell, although it seems baby is slightly lower than before. On average, first babies arrive at just over 41 weeks, so I am not setting much store on my estimated due date of June 8th.
Mood: Happy but also getting anxious for baby to come out!
Looking forward to: Meeting baby! Two friends had their little ones in the past week, and it is making me antsy to meet our little one too.

  2. Just a little bit more! I hope everything goes well, and we get to meet your little one soon :) Do you suspect whether it's a girl or a boy? They say mothers can sometimes tell, but I was sure it was going to be a boy (we didn't ask at the doctor's, it was just a feeling) and it ended up being a girl, so... :)

Pregnancy really suits you, btw - you look beautiful!

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
