Victoria Rose turned 1!

I can't even believe my tiny little baby (who am I kidding, my child was never tiny) has grown into a toddler already! Wasn't she just born?

She went from being this sweet day-old baby who was busting out of her newborn outfits
to this delightful, smiley, happy little girl in way too little time
As of her first birthday (June 20th), she is 32.5" tall and almost 25 lbs, which puts her in the 99th percentile for height and 91st for weight.

Victoria splits her time between walking and crawling, but she has really put on the speed with the walking lately. She is talking quite a bit, saying (or attempting to say) lots of words. She loves to say the "eieio" part at the end of old mcdonald, or clap her hands when I start singing "if you're happy and you know it". She. is. just. so. busy..... and fun!

She can point to all of her major body parts, and especially loves when I ask her where her tongue is
And in the midst of all of the chaos of moving and renovating this past month, she keeps us laughing with peek-a-boo any chance she gets

Her birthday was a very simple day. We spent some time together as a family and I got her a carrot cake muffin from Panera (we were in full-swing packing and moving prep at that point so there was nothing to bake with), which she loved

This one is going in her future wedding slideshow for sure!
We have decided to have a small party for her with some church friends and family in August, about 6 weeks after her actual birthday, so that we could get past the move and the chaos involved.

I'm happy we made that decision, as I am already about to lose my mind with everything going on, so a birthday party definitely would have been the straw that broke the camel (MY) back.

Love my little 1-year-old side-kick!

  1. Where has the year gone? Victoria Rose is beautiful! Good luck with the new house. We did the same thing 10 months ago. We have one more room to renovate and, cross fingers, we should be done.LOL

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
