Twin Pregnancy Update: 20 Weeks

How far along? 20 Weeks 1 day
Babies Sizes: 10 inches from head to heel and about 10.5 ounces
Have you started to show?: Yes! I have definitely popped in the last few weeks. At my midwife appointment on Wednesday at 19w4d I was measuring 25 weeks
Total weight gain: About 20 lbs (double what I'd gained with Victoria at this point!). Goals for twins are between 20-30 lbs by 20 weeks, which has been tough to come to terms with.
Maternity clothes? Yep all maternity now
Stretch Marks? Not yet! But with twins I feel like they will be inevitable
Sleep: Not terrible, but not great
Best moment this week: Our ultrasound and midwife appointment! Loved seeing and hearing these little ones!
Miss Anything? Energy
Movement: I'm doing my best to stay active, and continue to go to my workout classes. Babies are moving a lot more but I think I feel them less than I did Victoria at this point
Food cravings: Food! I want all of it all the time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I only feel sick if I've gone more than 2 hours or so without eating. As long as I keep a steady stream of food going in, I feel good.
Gender Prediction: We just found out they are both girls! And yes, we have names. And no, we aren't sharing until the birth!
Symptoms: Lots of aches these days. My midwife said I will feel like whatever I am measuring, so I am close to feeling like I'm in 3rd trimester
Mood: Is "nesting" a mood? We have started getting things ready in our home and I am feeling the itch to get everything settled
Looking forward to: My mom and stepdad coming next weekend to help us put the nursery and Victoria's big girl room together. I am so excited!

  1. Hi! I was wondering if you might share your journey with wearing skirts and dresses for a season, and your thoughts on it now?
Love your beautiful baby belly and can't wait to see these two beautiful girls in a few months!

I love to fellowship with others and hear what they have to say. I would ask, however, that you be mindful of what you write and try to be uplifting and respectful. Thank you for sharing!
