How far along? 24 weeks
Baby Size: about 1lb 4oz and 12 inches. Baby is "viable" and has a good chance of survival if born now
Total weight gain: 14-15 pounds
Maternity clothes? I went shopping yesterday and bought some new maternity clothes (although this photo is making me rethink horizontal stripes). Still wearing mostly maternity jeans, as layering for skirts has become too uncomfortable.
Stretch Marks? Not yet!
Sleep: Not too bad lately
Best moment this week: Seeing baby move from the outside:)
Miss Anything? Sushi
Movement: Baby may be a budding gymnast. He/she likes to move A LOT. I have been going to the gym still and am anxious for the snow and ice to go away so I can walk more outside.
Food cravings: I've been really wanting sugary things lately... but am trying to ignore it!
Gender Prediction: We will find out when baby arrives! Make sure you vote in the green box on the right side of this blog.
Symptoms: VERY dry skin
Mood: Happy but also a little more weepy than usual. I started balling during worship at church this morning. The songs were just so wonderfully moving. And I think I cried at a great Olympics performance last week.
Looking forward to: My first shower is in two weeks, and my second shower is three weeks after that. I am excited to see everyone and get nested
*** I am going to be honest here, this was not a fun picture to share with you guys. I feel like I look huge.... but I am choosing to share anyway and kick my vanity aside. Sigh. All the changes during pregnancy can be difficult to come to terms with
Past updates:
You do not look huge... you look beautiful and glowing and so happy to be a mother!! I always love reading your pregnancy updates. :-)

I think you look beautiful and not huge at all. But as a mother, I know it's sometimes difficult to cope with all those changes.
ReplyDeleteYou look far from huge! You look just beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other commenters, you do not look huge at all! Just beautiful! The baby will really start to grow fast now and so will you, but just remember that you will bounce back really fast after the birth - especially because you are continuing to work out and stay healthy. Growing a human being is hard work! Give yourself a break and enjoy it! You will be so much happier if you embrace the "fullness" as God's gift to you - your baby!!!
ReplyDeleteI promise I wasn't fishing for compliments, everyone, but you sure know how to make me feel better! I am definitely blessed to have a healthy and growing baby, especially after praying for a baby for so long. Thanks you guys!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Amanda! Give yourself a break, you're doing a wonderful but hard job. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwe, love your baby bump :)
