Victoria Rose is 7 Months old

Miss Victoria Rose is 7 months old already. I swear, 7 months old today, married and giving me grandbabies tomorrow! Time is already passing quickly.
She is 29.5" long and 21 lbs, which keeps her in the 100th percentile still. She is wearing mostly 18 month clothing already. I even had to turn the quilt I take these photos on because she is getting so tall!

This month Victoria had her First Christmas, which was wonderful. She also learned how to sit like a pro, and is now inches away from crawling (She's rocking on all fours and frustrated when she keeps moving backwards). She is grabbing and reaching for everything around her, and loves handing out smiles to everyone around her.

She's also a total ham and very expressive. Such as here, when she though I was going to tickle her.

She started having some solid foods a few weeks ago and is enjoying the experimentation, but we are definitely sticking with the "food before one is just for fun" theory.

Through some gentle coaching over the last few weeks she has stopped the association between sleeping and nursing, and is therefore both nursing and sleeping better. She is also now able to put herself to sleep in her crib for naps and bedroom (most of the time).

We've really seen her personality begin to shine this month, and are now seeing a budding toddler. I'm loving it! And we are beginning to think those pretty blue eyes are here to stay!

And she has definitely already won her mama and daddy's hearts

  3. She's gorgeous. And let's not focus only on the eyes - look at those teeth! :D Does she bite as she nurses? Mine bites terribly, especially when she's annoyed which makes me think she knows perfectly well it hurts and does it on purpose!
