My husband loves board games, especially strategy games. I hate to say it, but I really stink at putting together strategy. My husband, on the other hand, is amazing at it. Which means most of our game nights, I lose. But, like I good wife I still play with him, and I even try to keep my sore loserness to a minimum.
He got a new game from his brother for Christmas called Axis and Allies: D-Day. It's a strategy game like Risk that re-enacts D-day. One player is the Axis side and the other player is the Allied side. As if I were not disadvantaged enough with my strategy handicap, I ended up playing the Axis side, so I was destined to be the loser anyway.
The result:
I'm the dark gray players, while my husband is everyone else. Seriously????
We like to play games too! our favorite these days is Dominion. It is has stragety but is also fast paced. I like games where you need to think and plan but not where it takes too long!
ReplyDeleteYou might like backgammon...I agree with Ivy, it can't be too long....I can't focus through a whole game of Monopoly!
