I rarely buy any of my clothing new, but I tend to dream a lot. I used have a very large dress collection, which I ended up decimating because they didn't live up to my modesty standards. I have been dreaming about building up a modest dress collection. Nothing says feminine like a dress, don't you think?
There are some amazing new dresses out on my favorite modest dress websites.
Shabby Apple is the Mecca of dress websites. They have a very large selection, and their dress section says "Women's retro, modest dresses" (some are more modest than others). They are very good at combining fashion with modesty. Their dresses run usually between $70-$110, but I'm hoping to save up for one soon.

Let me share a few of my favorite dresses from their site:
|
This is one of my favorites. I love how classic and simple it is. This is the "Ms. Porter" dress |
|
I saw this on pinterest a while ago and have been in love with it since. This dress is called "Cider" |
|
This one is called "Bali Ha'i" and I love the neckline as well as the color. It is also on sale right now. |

Another great place to find modest dresses is Mikarose.com. Their
dresses are usually a little less expensive than Shabby Apple's, but their
selection is much more limited. Here are some of my favorites:
|
This is their new "Beverly" dress. I love sweater dresses in general and this one looks cozy |
|
|
This is probably my favorite from their site. Sigh |
jenclothing.com is an LDS website, but many of their dresses would be great for any woman looking for modesty. They sell many Mikarose dresses as well as several others. I actually own a dress from their site:
|
This is the only modest dress I currently own and I love it. The fit is perfect |
So be sure to check out these sites and recommend in the comments section any sites you would recommend. I'm definitely saving to build my modest dress collection.
I LOVE shabby apple! Three things restrict me: 1. Budget, 2. Breastfeeding, 3. I prefer dresses to mid-calf.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I hope to begin drafting patterns for myself based on some of theIr designs in the near future!
I also like modcloth.com for sewing inspiration. Incredible dresses, but mostly too short.
